Today, my day started off with a Thai Music class! I learnt to play a musical instrument that is very similar to the European Xylophone. except a few of the notes are different, and so is the design. It was pretty easy to pick up, as it is very similar to piano! The teachers were very impressed with how easily i picked it up! Within the first half hour, I was able to play on of my favorite xylophone songs ‘Under the Sea’ from the little mermaid!
Then we went on an excursion to ‘The Golden Mount’, wish is a mountain in the middle of bangkok, with a huge golden sphere and steeple on the top. The hundreds of small stairs to get to the top of the temple symbolises the hard work you must do to get into Heaven. It was so beautiful up the top! And i bought a chime in the souvenir shop there!
Then we went to a temple, which was awesome! so many empty open hall ways and arch ways, you could get so lost! I have no idea what it was called though…
Then we went to a brand new museum, which has all the Thai history and culture in it. It was so fascinating, and very new so all the exhibitions were interactive and fun! Melbourne Museum definitely needs to lift its game! I learnt a lot about architecture of buildings, history of Thailand, and the kings.
Then back home after school, where I started packing for this long weekend (The Kings Birthday Long Weekend), As Prim’s family has booked a beautiful hotel in Hua Hin for us to stay at (right near the beach)! Prim’s mum also called Aunt Anne to organize me catching up with My Aunt and Cousins next Wednesday after school! I’m very excited!

PS. Below are some photos from today and yesterday, as well as yesterdays blog entry, which I didn’t have time to post yesterday!
Today We went to the Grande Palace! It was amazing!!! And because we belonged to the Royal school, we got to see parts of the palace that the general public will never get to see! We all felt so privileged!! I also, at the palace, got asked by a group of chinese tourists, for my first “blonde photo”. A “blonde photo” is where someone wants a picture with me purely because i have blonde hair! It was really strange!! hahaha
Then we went back to school, and i had a Flower class. In this class, we each made a traditional thai flower garland that is often seen all around shops and car windows. Mine took 1.5 hours to make :. it was NOT easy.
Later that afternoon, there was a big event at the Thai school. The Annual Cheer-leading Competition!! It was SO much fun to watch!! Each year level did a cheer, and the year 11’s (which is the year that all our exchange hosts are in) won!! So we were all ecstatic!
An AMAZING day!!!
